Do not take Nexium if you are under the age of 18 years.
Always read the instructions of this medicine before taking it. Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly, or switch to another medicine without speaking to your doctor first. Taking this medicine for a long time may cause it to interact with other medicines, medicines, and health products you are taking, and may cause side effects.
This medicine is to be used with a view to treating symptoms of gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD). The medicine should not be taken by people who have experienced it before. Taking this medicine by people who have experienced it may make them more likely to have it with you. If you have experienced it, you should talk to your doctor or health care provider first. You should not take this medicine if you are not sure if any of these symptoms are caused by Nexium, other medicines, or health products.
Read the label of this medicineNexium Control 20mg Gastro-Resistant Tablets treats heartburn and acid reflux. They are suitable for short-term treatment of reflux symptoms (heartburn, acid regurgitation) in adults, aged 18 or over.
Caution: Do not use if you are allergic to esomeprazole or any of the ingredients of this medicine.
How to use:
Read the package leaflet before use
Take one tablet once a day. Do not exceed this dose
The tablets should be swallowed whole. Do not chew or crush the tablets
May take 2-3 days for full effect
If your symptoms worsen or do not improve after taking this medicine for 14 days in a row, contact your doctor.
Precautions
This is a medicine; Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have an underlying medical condition, are taking any other medication or complementary therapy, or if symptoms persist.
Seek advice before using if you are breast feeding, pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or suffer from allergies.
Keep all medicines out of the reach of children.

You are advised to take this medicine in the evening, at bedtime, when there is ademand, during the meal.
If you do not take this medicine, it will hide your acid levels and will probably affect you more.
Do not use this medicine in pregnant women. If you become pregnant or if you breastfeed, you should contact your doctor before use.
It is not known if this medicine passes the this medicine through.

This medicine may cause serious skin reactions, especially after long-term treatment with high doses or for too long. Contact your doctor immediately if you observe symptoms of injury, burn, mucus or discharge, rash, itching, swelling, or redness.
A very serious allergic reaction to this medicine is rare. Contact your doctor for advice.
In the battle against heartburn, the overuse of over-the-counter (OTC) products is a major contributor to heartburn. One that’s been around for decades is Nexium. While it’s popular, it’s not a good idea to use it for more than one purpose. If you do use it for a couple of weeks or even more, you could be getting heartburn for a couple of bucks. The idea is to reduce the chance of heartburn and to prevent the heartburn from recurring even if you don’t have heartburn at all. Avoid OTC drugs:There are OTC drugs that contain drugs that can interact with. It’s best to avoid taking these drugs with OTC products because they can make people’s blood sugar increase.
Consider taking medication with OTC products:Oral antacids can cause an upset stomach. Taking them along with OTC antacids can increase the risk of stomach bleeding. If you’re taking OTC antacids and you take them with other medications, you may need to take a second medication before taking OTC antacids. Talk with your doctor or pharmacist to determine the best medication for you.
Do not use the OTC products:Some OTC products contain drugs that can interact with Nexium. These drugs can affect the way Nexium works.

About Nexium
